United Nations Antiracism Coalition

Salimah K Hankins, Esq. CPC is an advisor and former director of the UN Antiracism Coalition which is an international civil society coalition for UN accountability for systemic racism and police violence against Africans and people of African Descent. Before that, Salimah served as the Executive Director of the US Human Rights Network (USHRN). She organized the civil society side of the U.S government treaty reviews in Geneva, Switzerland and has produced six annual human rights reports for USHRN. Salimah began her legal career as an associate at the ACLU of Maryland and she served as a civil rights attorney for various organizations in the United States.

August 2020

In 2020, after the killing of George Floyd, Salimah created a virtual healing and story-telling event speaking with the families of Michael Brown, Sandra Bland, Amaud Arbery, and others and honored Black trans and cis womxn as well as GNC killed by police, for the US Human Rights Network when she was Executive Director.
